WISK
Bar Inventory Management made easy
In my interdisciplinary role as the Lead Designer at WISK, I've lead an extensive range of projects, including but not limited to:
- Developing a corporate brand identity that remained cohesive across all channels,
- Leading the ever-evolving UX and UI efforts of the iOS and Web applications,
- Design, development and maintenance of Wisk's websites,
- As well as various marketing projects.
Visual identity
I set out to create a clear set of guidelines to create a cohesive style for Wisk. This came as a brand book that standardized a visual identity defining naming conventions, logo usage, colors, font and iconography.
A style system of cards and drop-shadows laid the groundwork for Wisk's information architecture, and hover effects made buttons feel like they were being physically pressed.
Website
My initial site design leveraged client success with short testimonials to demonstrate value.
It gave an overview of main functionalities and featured a pricing calculator to help users quickly find a plan that fits them.
User Experience
Onboarding
Complex tools can often have strenuous setup processes, so we implemented a number of best practices to significantly reduce new user churn.
Gamification
Does the scanner beep when it recognizes a barcode? Elements of gamification bring joy to tasks that can otherwise feel dull, keeping users engaged.
Flexibility
Building a niche product means facing a number of unique use cases that must be accounted for. This is why we implemented new features like custom weights and a spout selector for bottles.
Intuitive design
We introduced pre-notification prompts to inform new users why Wisk requires certain permissions, insuring that Wisk works properly for everyone.
Marketing
I've helped Wisk execute on a number of marketing channels, ranging from social media, print, email campaigns, and a user referral program.
Website redesign
WISK's new visual identity came complete with a modernized logo, updated UI elements, and brand colors, along with a new website to match.
This new website benefited from cleaner imagery and higher legibility, as well as tailored pages suited for individual client types.
Web app design
My redesign of WISK's web application aimed to simplify the previous design by keeping relevant information segmented in cards.
The design also benefits from a table view that draws user's attention to key information and relevant actions.
